Ambari Falakata: A voluntary blood donation camp was organized on Saturday at the initiative of Siliguri Police Commissionerate and under the management of Bhorer Alo Police Station. Siliguri Police Commissionerate Deputy Commissioner (East) Rakesh Singh (IPS), Bhorer Alo Police Station OC Sandeep Dutt, Gazoldoba Outpost OC Hiru Kanti Sarkar and other police officers were present at the camp organized at Bhorer Alo Police Station premises.

A total target of 70 units of blood was set for this blood donation camp. It has been informed that all the collected blood will be sent to the blood bank of Siliguri District Hospital.

DCP Rakesh Singh, who was present at the event, said, "During summer, there is a shortage of blood in various hospitals. Such an initiative has been taken to meet that shortage."

Not only police personnel, but also ordinary people spontaneously participate in this camp and donate blood, setting a shining example for society.
