The Inter-School Football Tournament 2025 was successfully organized at Narayana School in Fulbari. A total of 14 schools from Kalimpong, Mirik, and Siliguri participated in the competition.

In the final match, Mount Zion English School defeated Shri Shri Academy with a score of 2-0 to clinch the championship. The winning and runner-up teams were awarded trophies and medals by the Chief Guest, Inspector General Mukesh Tyagi of the BSF North Bengal Frontier.

Speaking on the occasion, Narayana School Principal Pankaj Jha stated, “This tournament was organized to showcase the football skills of students from various schools. Alongside academics, we want our students to excel in sports as well.”

IG Mukesh Tyagi emphasized the importance of outdoor games for the current generation. He said, “Mobile phones are useful, but children must engage in outdoor sports for physical development. This is a crucial period for their bodily growth. Every child should participate in at least one sport. They are the future of India—in sports, in the military, and in other fields. To build a healthy and disciplined generation, participation in outdoor games is essential.”
