Unique Initiative by Fulbari Traffic Outpost During Road Safety Week – From Blood Donation to Street Play, Helmet Distribution & More
Fulbari, Siliguri: On the occasion of Road Safety Week, Fulbari Traffic Outpost conveyed a powerful and humane message to society. Led by OC Asit Saha, the police officials once again proved that their duty goes beyond enforcing the law — ensuring people’s safety is also their moral responsibility.
The outpost premises turned vibrant with various public-oriented activities throughout the day. The day began with a blood donation camp, where police personnel themselves came forward to donate blood, inspiring others to join the cause.
Next came a sit-and-draw competition for children, where the young minds expressed road safety awareness through vibrant strokes of color.
One of the most commendable initiatives was the distribution of helmets and roses to bikers without helmets. Adding a humane touch, the police officers personally placed helmets on the riders’ heads and said, “Your safety is your own responsibility.” This heart-touching gesture left a strong impression on many.
The day concluded with a powerful street play on road safety, which generated great response and awareness among the public.
The event was graced by ADCP Traffic Abhishek Majumdar, ACP Traffic East Rathindranath Biswas, and several other officers of the Siliguri Police Commissionerate.
