That issue is being addressed at last. A Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has been launched through a joint initiative by the Power Grid Corporation of India and Binnaguri Gram Panchayat. As part of this campaign, the dumping ground is being cleared, and cleanup drives have been initiated around a nearby canal, the school premises, a health center, and the market area.
Present on the occasion were Binnaguri Gram Panchayat head Samijuddin Ahmed, several officials from the Power Grid Corporation, local panchayat members Bijoy Das and Tushar Kanti Dutta, along with many local residents. The atmosphere in the area was one of joy and relief as the long-standing demand of the villagers was finally being fulfilled.
A Power Grid official stated, "It is everyone’s responsibility to keep the environment clean and healthy. The canal and its surroundings had become filled with filth, posing a serious health risk. That is why we have taken this initiative."
Panchayat head Samijuddin Ahmed said, "Through the joint effort of Power Grid and the Panchayat, the cleaning work of the Ambari market area has officially begun today. Work has also started to clean the school and the surrounding areas. The villagers are very happy."
This step under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is undoubtedly sending a positive message to society: "Cleanliness should begin with our surroundings."
