Unique Celebration of the 79th Independence Day at Sahudangi



Staff reporter, Sahudangi:The members of Lions Go Getters, Siliguri celebrated the 79th Independence Day in a distinctive way. Today, at Bright Little Academy in Paghalu Para, Sahudangi, the day was observed through a special program with the school’s students, breaking away from traditional norms.

The national flag was first hoisted by the Chief Guests, C.A. Hemant J.R. Agarwal and Pooja Agarwal. Following the national anthem, a Sit and Draw competition was organized for the children. This was followed by a free dental camp for the young students, along with a blood donation camp.

Fulfilling Swami Vivekananda’s message, “Service to mankind is service to God,” the Go Getters members arranged lunch for everyone. The teachers of Bright Little Academy extended their wholehearted support to the event.
The program was graced by Lions Go Getters President Swagata Roy, Secretary Shilpa Jain, Treasurer Lavina Dalmia, Directors Vishakha Daga and Dimple Agarwal, Vice President Arpita Chakroborti, and Project Chairpersons Pooja Gupta and Priya Agarwal.

The premises of Bright Little Academy echoed with the laughter and joy of children today, where the spirit of freedom was celebrated hand-in-hand with acts of service.
